The Sahasra Parayana comes to Brampton, Ontario — 108 devotees gather at the Hindu Sabha Mandir inside a living yantra to chant the Ganapati mantra 1008 times around the sacred Yagna Kund, raising the foundation for a Ganapati temple in India.
A yantra is not decoration — it is a living instrument of sound and geometry. To be seated within one, as a chanting point of light, is an opportunity most devotees never receive in a lifetime.
Most people offer prayers toward a yantra. Here, each devotee is a coordinate within it — a living node in a resonant geometric field. The arrangement only works because you are in it.
A single Central Lotus Kund anchors all 108 devotees. When every voice chants ॐ गं गणपतये नमः in unison around the sacred Yagna Kund, individual prayer dissolves into a single breathing organism of devotion.
This gathering is part of a global journey toward One Crore (10 million) prayers for world peace. A yantra of this kind, at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton, with the consecrated Pancha Datu Ganapati present — is not an annual event.
The Sahasra Parayana is the collective recitation of the Ganapati moola mantra 1008 times. Its sound vibrations, multiplied by a thousand voices, are said to remove obstacles, bring clarity and prosperity, and — by honouring Lord Ganesha — honour our parents and forefathers, opening the gateway to their blessings.
A single Lotus Kund burns at the centre. The yantra is drawn on the ground in concentric rings, and the 108 devotees are seated as living souls within it — the mantra placed at the four sacred gates, radiating inward to the flame.

There are no ticket prices and no levels. Every devotee chants the same mantra, sits inside the same yantra, and receives the same blessing — couples and single devotees are equally welcome.

The overall cost of the gathering, divided across each kund, comes to a few hundred dollars — the samagri, ghee, wood, flowers and offerings placed into the sacred fire, and the pandits who tend it through the Parayana.
There are no tickets and no fixed amount. Whatever you choose to offer is entirely your wish, and nothing at all is required to take your seat in the yantra.
Every donation goes toward building the KotiGanapati Temple in India — the eternal home of the MahaYagnam. As funds go directly to the temple, a local charitable tax receipt is not issued.
Any amount is a free-will offering, given in devotion — never a ticket price. Coins and statues gifted to devotees are Pancha Datu (five sacred metals) or similar.
This gathering is not an end in itself. Every voice raised in Brampton and every offering given becomes a brick in a permanent temple for Lord Ganesha in India.
Donations are invited for the construction of the KotiGanapati Temple — dedicated to the care of abandoned newborn girl children and abandoned senior citizens (parents); the teaching of MantraYoga, MantraVaidyam, Meditation, and Yoga; the establishment of a School of Mantras and Vedic Education; and the continuous performance of MahaYagnam for World Peace, Universal Welfare, and the well-being of all living beings.
The collective resonance of 108 devotees lays both the energetic and the financial foundation of that sanctuary — a legacy of devotion and global peace that will outlast all of us, carried forward for generations.
